Recent news about FBI busting into suburban homes and handcuffing couples they accuse of being Russian spies are quite intriguing and ridiculous. The Times has an article with a money quote: Jessie Gugig, 15, said she could not believe the charges, especially against Mrs. Murphy. “They couldn’t have been spies,” she said jokingly. “Look what she did with the hydrangeas.”

Benjamin: Can you sum up why NSA is a BA (badass) employment opportunity. I suggested it to a math friend int eh library and he wants to know more. I just need a paragraph, prestige, benefits, security, and badassery are all fine points. But I'm unfamiliar with the math section. Jessica: nothing is gonna look better on a resume for a math person man i dont know, how is that not enough? Benjamin: Not quite sure. I'll tell him it's a bastion of beautiful, respressed math girls. He's a confident and attractive young man, perhaps it'll be a good fit for him.

The front page of the Times broke the story of how Major Hasan, the army officer who killed 13 people at Fort Hood last week, was communicating with a radical Yemini cleric since last year. Not only that, but US intelligence agencies knew about it long ago.
